Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in
I had taken a lenevo laptop when I was in Infosys 2 year ago. I had taken that on installment for the purpose of working with my partner. As long as I was in a job, I was able to pay my emi's. I had lost my job due to recession and i got into small companies where my salary was not paid on time or non payment of salary for 2 months. I had to give Rs.2960/- every month. I paid only 2 EMI's. They have been harassing me and my family till date. They threatened my family that they will send a legal notice if the account is not settled. They say that I have 2 options. 1) to make the payment 2) Surrender the laptop.I had given the product to my partner for software installation but was unable to concentrate due to his personal problems. Please help.
