I was married in 2001 june , with in 2 months i was back to my mothers place as my husband was not interested in me , my divorce took place in 2006 settled with 8 lakhs . Actually i was brought up by my gaurdians..my father's elbrother took care of me & got me married , later he fought the legal divorce case & got the compensation.The entire money was with him, he died in 2011, now when i ask my aunty about my divorce money she is pending the issue tellig she will give the money only after her death..i doubt ..she may not give me the divorce compensation money..she also told she does not have any divorce papers ..what to do to get my money back.

First ask you natural parents to talk to your aunt, this is not inheritance money. You should have held it in your name. What about other children (if any) of your uncle-aunt? Or ask some other elders to get involved - before initiating legal action.
Any legal action which you need to initiate; should be initiated as soon as possible. Was your uncle and is your aunt liable to Income Tax? Then they would have shown this money as yours only, in their respective account/s. Hence, it is important to know this also, before you initiate any action.
Try and collect all documentation. You also need a copy of your divorce related papers, which will indicate the compensation received by you, and how it was credited in our uncle's account. The cheque must have come in your name only. Hence, all these are necessary elements.
