Legal Question in Civil Litigation in India

Can Domestic Violence case be filed after 6 years of filing a 498a case. My wife has filed such a DV case. I have been acquitted in the 498a case. How will this affect the DV case.

Yes, the DVA will still be maintainable. The 498-A acquittal will not help you in any manner. The definition of 'domestic violence' ias given in the POW DVA s much wider and includes even 'financial' and 'emotional' violence.
