Legal Question in Civil Litigation in India

Sir,
We have purchased a house 2.5 years back, nearly after 2 years of our registration person had filed a case stating that the previous owners of the house have come to an agreement of sale 4years back and he had taken 48 months for registration he has taken for registration now he says the time has come for registration so he is asking court to register the register the house on his name.
Till now we have not received any notice from court, even though we have attended the court and filed the vakalat, after 5-6 peshi's now the judge had not given next date becase the notice have been not served.
is there an loss to us?
why the judge have not given the next date?
