Legal Question in Immigration Law in India
My parents got divorced recently. My Father is an US citizen and I am in India. Can I still claim a citizenship for US?

If he was a US citizen at the time of your birth, then you might have become a citizen already. If you are not a US citizen by birth, your father may have to petition for you. It's not clear from your post whether you can claim citizenship or apply for residency.

yes, you may claim citizenship and for that purpose you may put in papers for citizenship by birth and you need to state all the true facts including the divorce of your parents. if need be substantiated with the certified copy of decree of divorce.
