Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

can ancestral property(land & house) of the father be gifted through settlement, to the minor daughters of his son when the son is alive? If it is gifted like this,then will the son have any rights to sell that property before his daughters become major and without their sign of permission on selling that? Please give details in this.

Check whether it is a joint hindu family property and decide accordingly.
