Legal Question in Real Estate Law in India

The apartment owner association is asking me for a transfer fee for my apartment as I am selling it to a new buyer. Is this warranted? Why should the association charge me anything when I have paid the maintenance regularly without delay.

What is prescribed under the Deed of Apartment (Condominium); you will be governed by the conditions as prescribed therein.

If the Deed prescribes such a condition, you are liable to pay the same.
