Dear Sir / Madam,
(Pin Code does not exist)
If your grandfather has died Intestate (without a Will), all his legal heirs (sons and daughters) including your father are entitled to their share in the ancestral property by way of a settlement or partition. The registration fees for the process vary from State to State.

There may not be any transfer involved.
However, you may apply to concerned revenue authorities for appropriate mutations.
