My sister bought a piece of land at Hindpur. She has misplaced the original deed and could not locate it. How to get the duplicate title deed?

Dear Sir / Madam,

(Newsprint Nagar, Kottayam, Kerala)

Your sister can directly apply to the Kottayam Tehsildar for the issue of a certified title deed of the land in her name. If she has been paying the prevailing Land Revenue Tax, the receipt of the same must be in her name. A copy of the Land Revenue Tax receipt can also be attached with the application for easy reference.

Apply ton the Registrar's office where she registered the document.

Obtain certified copy of the deed from the office of the Sub-Registrar where the deed was registered.
