Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in India

My grandfather wrote will to my paternal (father elder brother) and mentioned nothing to us. Do we have rights to get share? Or any chance of going legal getting share of properties? Please help me

Dear Sir / Madam,

(Velacheri, Chennai, Tamilnadu)

A Will has to be backed by a Probate from the Court, to be obtained by the executor named in the Will for effecting the transfer of property in the name of the beneficiaries named in the Will.

If your grandfather has also named you as a beneficiary and if he has assigned a portion of the property to be given to you in his Will, you have the right to get your specified share of your grandfather's property.

It is not clear whether the property was ancestral or self acquired by your Grand Father. You have also not mentioned whether Will is probated or not. Without this basic input, it is not possible to advise.
