Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in India
Kindly advice me as to whether there is a time limit for filing of a succession certificate.I plan to file a succession certificate
with regard to the property of a deceased member of my family, in Mumbai ( India).

There is no time limit for filing such a case under Indian Succession Act, but delay has to be explained saying you discovered the documents with a time limit of 3 years which is the general limitation provided for all such cases.
