Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in India
Hello sir,My father in law made a registered will but there is beneficiary witness that is my hubby,sister is demanding lots of money so that she will not challenge the will,should we compromise. Or let her challenge the will.

You need to go for probating the WILL...

To settle or not is a decision which has no bearing on law, but on facts.
Will cannot be said to be invalid simply, because beneficiary is a witness. Certain sub-caste and caste of Hindus are permitted by law to be a witness even though you are beneficiary. I do not agree that a Witness cannot be beneficiary in all cases.
