There is a proper way to dissolve an LLC. You should have it done properly by a lawyer, not by doing it as a cheap do-it-yourself project. If the LLC incurred a debt, that debt has to be taken care of before dissolution. Otherwise the creditor can come after the LLC members. If the money is really owed, go ahead and pay it.
