Garnishment of wages
Can my wages be garnished in the state of Indiana because of past due credit card accounts?

yes they can...however, they would first have to file a motion with the court and get a judgment in order to garnish your wages. That is, unless you agree to the garnishment and sign a waiver. Should you have a lot of credit card debt, our office can assit you with that. If you should be garnished, they can take up to 25% of your check. Depending on how much you owe, you may be better with debt settlement through an attorney or possibly even bankruptcy if you have a lot.
