Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana

I was pulled from my college's nursing clinical program, by the department chair, due to a bounced check on my background check. I was told that 3 hospitals denied me because of it. After being withdrawn against my will, I called all 3 hospitals and found out that I was NOT denied into their clinicals. Now instead of graduating in May, 2011, I wont graduate until December, 2011. I want to sue for nurses wages from May- Dec , an extra semester of student loans and punitive damages. Is there any reason that I can't?

The wages are speculative unless you have already been hired for the period after May. You should see if there are any procedures at your college that address this situation as the courts generally require that you exhaust your administrative remedies before filing suit. If there aren't any, I do not see any reason why you cannot file suit for your actual and provable damages.
