Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana

I work for my local fire department as a full time paid professional. Is there any kind of law in Indiana that protects me from a co-worker bring personal issues that have nothing to do with work into work and causing problems? He has brought it to the attention of the higher ups for which I got called in while on vacation to be told about him requesting not to be placed at the same station I am assigned. I have been off from work for a month and have not been there while all of this started. He has since talked about the issues to other members to which these people have called or txt me asking me about the situation. He has also made claims that I would not leave a female alone who he got involved with. He has sent threatening txt to me as a result of all of this. Please help. I am lost as what I can do.

Hard to determine what kind of case you have here. You might have a claim for defamation, or perhaps a tortious interference with a business relationship, or discrimination. Can't tell from this. You should take the time (and a few bucks for the interview time) and speak with an attorney who can sort it all out and give you better guidance than you can get here. You probably have some remedies, that is, some things that you can do, but without more facts, it's hard to say. I'd be guessing, as would most attorneys here.
