My Rights as a Tenant

My husband and I rented a house in Lowell In, the landlord was supose to give us a 2 year lease option to buy, we have waited 2 months to get this lease, on Sept 15th she informed us that she had sold the home and we have 15 days to move. We have nothing in writing, not even proof the house has sold, what are my rights?
