Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Indiana
Medical Malpractice-Breast Cancer
Back in 2004 I had a ultrasound and mammogram done on my left breast due to me finding a lump. The Doctor who gave these test told me it was merely a pimple under the skin and to come back when I was 40 years old to have it rechecked (I was 36 yrs old at the time). About 2 1/2 years later I notice the lump was bigger, causing some pain and looked different, I went to my family physican on Sept 14th, 2006 and once again I had the ultrasound and mammogram done, this time the doctor order to have a biop done, my results breast cancer and the test showed that from April of 2004 to Sept 2006 my cancer grew 2 milimeters. I lost the left breast, the surgeon took 4 limpnodes and 3 had tumors so I had to go back in for another surgery to have the rest of the limpnodes takes out which where 11 and they came back okay. I have had to face chemo and radiation and I have soreness in my left arm and do not have the strength I had before in the left arm. I am a stage 3. I have done research on the statute of limitations and I feel after what I have read about this that my SOL should not start in 2004 since I was dignosed. I would like to know if I have a case and would like a malpractice-breast cancer lawyer contact me. Thank you.
