Legal Question in Personal Injury in Indiana

I have lived with a person for 6 years. He has been taking care of me for 12 years. He promised to pay off my home and hasn't yet. I went through part of my inheritance while living with him. He has paid me plenty a month and then some for 12 years. I am 56 years old with no degree. I have a job, but doesn't pay enough to be able to support myself. He says he is going to stop paying me. Is there anything I can do? He convinced me to break up my marriage to be with him. I didn't get much of a settlement because he told me he was going to marry me.

Your situation would be better if you had reduced all of these understandings and promises to writing. At this point, you should probably consult with a family law attorney to see what rights you may or may not have.
