Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana
I am in a second marriage. We live in a house that has my husband's and his daughter's name on the deed. It has been paid for. What type of document would need to be filled out, stating that upon his death, I may remain in the house until my death? Can this be written up without an attorney, as long as it is dated and signed before a notary public?

You can accomplish what you want through a life estate. But this requires professional legal services——-it’s not a do-it-yourself project.
