Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

I own a property with my ex-boyfriend. I paid for the home in full in May of 09 so there is no mortgage. I have an order of protection on him as of now so we have been communicating through lawyers about the property and hes agreed to quitclaim the property to me at no cost because i bought the home. However, my lawyer hasnt contacted me back in weeks and i would like to get this taken care of. my question is how can i do a quitclaim with him if we are not suppose to be around eachother, would we need two seperate witnesses; one witness for him when he signs, and one for me? and mail the document back and forth? Also, would he have to pay the full taxcredit of 8000 back at the end of the year, or just his portion of 4000? Or would that matter because the house is still in one of our names? I have so many questions, but my lawyer really hasnt been much help. please help me.

I suggest that you continue to follow up with your lawyer since he or she has the most knowledge concering your case. If you do not care how he or she is handling your case, discharge the lawyer and hire a new one. The last set of questions should be asked of an accounting professional rather than a lawyer.
