My father recently passed away and he did not have a will. He live with his girlfriend and all his possession and belonging are there and she is not trying to release them. So, my question is who gets the property and how can I get it

Anything that was not jointly owed, his surviving children should get. The best method I think to get it would be to open an estate and get a court order for possession of the property.
