Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Indiana
wills and probate
The attorney who is executor of my aunt's estate said the will could take 18 months before funds are disbursed. Is this excessive?

Re: wills and probate
No, the applicable probate statute, I believe, allows for about 16 months for the executor to wind up the administration of an estate and to file the final report with the commissioner of accounts.
