Legal Question in Criminal Law in Iowa
I am 18 years old and was carrying a case of beer for my friends Mom as she did not want to carry it to a football tailgate. I was stopped and given a PAULA ticket by the Police-even though my friends Mom was with me and shared with the Police she asked me to carry the beer. Do I have any grounds to stand on challenging the ticket. Thank you

No. You were in possession of alcohol. Your reasons aren't relevant important as it is a strict liability offense. Your friend's mother should pay the ticket for you.
