Legal Question in Family Law in Iowa

My husband and i just got a divorce in march 2017, we both have our names on the house, he has not paid me my share for the house, he moved his girlfriend and her family in this month. can i charge her rent since i still own half of the house and i haven't been paid my money?

Unfortunately the answer is probably not. Even if you could you'd have the problem of collecting money from someone who does not want to pay. What you need to do is to contact the attorney who handled your side of the divorce and haul your ex into court.

I sincerely hope you used the services of a competent divorce attorney and did not do it yourself.
