Type Your Question Here...my ex has my kids in Utah and I live in Iowa can i get in trouble if i go and pick them up they want to come here

The answer is, if you do not have a court order saying you can do this you could be charged with custodial interference-removal from the state which is a felony under Utah. Code. Ann. 76-5-3-303 (2017).
