Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Iowa

I'm looking to purchase a storage unit business in Iowa and the owner of the business has passed away and left his wife with no records of the current tenants she wants to sell the property as is.

If I purchase the property how do I legally handle the tenants that are in each unit?

Am I required by law to store the contents until they are claimed?

I would suggest that you hire an attorney to represent you in this transaction. Any business purchase can be complicated, and this one has some extra complications built in already.
