Legal Question in Immigration Law in Kansas
Hello, I would like to know what is needed for my daughter to be legal in the U.S. since I am American, and what are the precedures that needs to be done. also, do i really need a lawyer to do all the procedures needed? and how much would they charge me? thanks a lot for your time.

The specific procedures to follow would depend on a number of factors: are you a US citizen? How old is your daughter? Is she married or single? What is her country of birth? Is she abroad or in USA? If she is in USA, in what status (visa) she is living here?
If you know what exactly to do, you might be able to petition for your daughter by yourself. If, however, you are not clear on the process, formalities, forms, documentation, etc - then it's better to hire a lawyer. In most cases of this kind, a lawyer can be located anywhere in USA.
