I have an idea for a book but it involves using pictures of famous art work. Can I use art work in my book or do I need to get permission?

As a Franchise Attorney I need to ask something. What "famous art" are you referring to? If the art is subject to a valid copyright, then you need permission from the copyright owner to use it in your book. Consult with a good intellectual property or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
