Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Kansas
Is it legal to use a college or university name (no mascot or logo) on a retail product without a license? Example: University of Kansas Jawhawks and/or the initials KU

As a Franchise Attorney I think the answer is obvious. Whenever you use intellectual property belonging to someone else, you need their permission (usually via a license). Consult with a good intellectual property or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
