listing agents contracts

if a seller finds a buyer on his own,while under contract with a listing agent can he break the contract with the listing agent and sell the property on his own, and not have to pay the listing agent his fee ?

Your contract with the realtor has to be reviewed. If your contract contains the usual expected language you will have to pay the broker. The other alternative is to wait until the listing expires. I suggest you consult with legal counsel. Gerald Hershenson Esq.

It all depends on the contract, but unless the listing is set to expire, you will need to pay the realtor. Contact my office to discuss this matter further.
