Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Kentucky

My 85 yr old mother drafted a simple will, naming my sister & I "co-executors". What does co-executors mean with regard to any necessary signing of documents, decision making, meeting attendance, etc.? Does everything need to be done by both of us or can one of us act alone if the other is not available? Thanks!

Unless the will specifies otherwise, both should act, sign, etc., together. Some wills designate "Jane" and "John" as co-executors, but further state that if one is not available, the other may act.
