Legal Question in Criminal Law in Kentucky
How to keep bad check charges off my record.
I am young and soon after moving away from home made dumb mistakes with my checkbook. I received a summons to court for three misdemeanor counts of theft by deception. I am currently in nursing school and when I apply to take the NCLEX and get my license, this will hold me up. I have not been to court yet and I have funds available to pay off the checks and charges. Is it possible to pay them before my court date and have charges dismissed?

It might be possible. An attorney is going to probably have more luck negotiating this type of deal for you. I practice in your zip code frequently. Call me if you'd like a free consultation.
