what is the fraud? what is the subject matter of the fraud? what is the forgery? check? negotiable instrument or a false represpresentation? Without such information the question cannot be answered intelligently.

Assuming the forgery took place in MS (if it didn't, MS law would have nothing to do with the crime) it would depend on what the forgery was on. MS has over 50 forgery statutes and fraud statutes.
If you are talking about bad checks, it's usually a fine and maybe a day or two in jail.

If the crime occurred in KY, then the penalty would be subject to KY law, not Mississippi's.
