Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

Child Custody vs. Limited Guardianship

In Kentucky, if a grandmother is appointed as the ''limited guardian'' for her granddaughter by Order of the Jefferson District Court, Probate Division, can the birth mother, who voluntarily agreed to ''limited guardianship'', take the child from the limited guardian without an Order terminating the limited guardianship or other Court Order?

Re: Child Custody vs. Limited Guardianship

The complete language of the Order re: Guardianship would have to be analyzed to determine an answer to your question.

Also, the details of "taking the child from the ltd guardian" would need to be clarified. Is this a

voluntary overnight visit or an involuntary "snatching" for an

indefinite period, etc.?
