Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

Does my husband still have to pay child support?

My husband has twin daughters. They will be 18 in December, but will still be in school. The mother kicked one of them out and she came to live with us all the time in September. She has not been back to her moms for two months now going on three. He has joint custody and the other daughter still comes over on the days she always did. About every other day. Does he still have to pay child support when one is here all the time and the other is here on the days like she always was.

Thanks alot

Re: Does my husband still have to pay child support?

Under the circumstances you describe, it is very possible that a judge would modify the child support order. However, your husband would risk sanctions if he unilaterally changed (lowered) the amount without either written agreement signed by the mother, or a signed court order.

Good luck.
