I always recommend having an attorney at least review the circumstances of your divorce especially if she is requesting maintenance. Maintenance may or may not be something a court would award depending on your income, her income, her age, her and your expenses, length of marriage and a variety of other issues. An attorney can best give you advice whether your spouse's demands for maintenance or other requests are reasonable and likely options the court has in considering those demands.
I concur with the answer given by Bryan Gowin, and add that there should have been an exchange of detailed financial information between you and your wife. This is required by Family Court.
