From your zip code, it appears that you are in Jefferson County. The Family Court in Jefferson County requires full disclosure of all assets and liailities, and the judges generally divide assets 50-50, or close to that, if the parties cannot come to an agreement on their own as to how to divde their assets. Child support is determined by a table which draws on the income of both parents and determines the pro-rata share of each. There is far more to consider, and the best thing is to retain counsel to explore how to best address the many issues inherent in a divorce. Best wishes.
