Legal Question in Health Care Law in Kentucky
I am a nurse in a psychiatric facility. I am also a writer. I would like to share the stories of some patients I encounter through a blog format. I would like to know what legal issues I should keep in mind to protect patient confidentiality. Bottom line, I don't want to get sued...what can and can't I do?

I have spent most of my career involved with mental health issues. This seems HIGHLY risky to me. You may wish to obtain gudance from your licensing board. In Louisville, a nursing student was booted out of U of L for blogging about patients she had seen on rounds. She sued, and the court recently ruled that U of L had to let her back in, but do you really want to take such a chance?
BTW, I moonlight writing, primarily about music. Much safer.
