Legal Question in Immigration Law in Kentucky
A very dear friend of mine is living in the US and working on an expired conditional visa. It actually expired 2 years ago during her period of unemployment. Her reasoning was that she was barely making ends meet to pay rent let alone pay the fees to renew her visa. Now that she's gainfully employed, fear is keeping her from handling this expired visa issue. She's hear from a communist country and fears being sent home. What steps should I advise her to take?

I am afraid that if she is living on an expired visa (illegally) in the USA, she can't apply to extend her expired visa. There are very limited options available to someone who is 'out-of-status' in the USA. What kind/type of visa she had? I suggest, he shows her visa to a good immigration attorney and asks for advice.
