Legal Question in Personal Injury in Kentucky

auto accident

I was involved in an auto accident.A semi truck knocked my car off the road and the driver was aware that he had hit my car because of of his brief stop and i also have witnesses who had saw him stop an take off. Could I sue for a hit and run? I was not injured, but have noticed changes in my self, such as depression and getting easily emotional after the accident. Could I take the trucking company to court for emotional pain and sufferage?

If you were involved in an automobile accident, you certainly have the option of bringing a suit against the trucking company for any damages you have suffered. Your damages do not have to be physical in nature to get a recovery for other types of damages. Since the driver was a hit and run driver, you may have a claim for punitive damages. I suggest you contact an attorney to get more advice on your rights.
