Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Kentucky

from what i have read of the questions others have ask about being POA's, am i understanding correctly that poa's orders are ended when the person dies?(not talking about the poa's) so who handles any business matters after death? since the poa's have no so called powers? like life insura

nce matters who oversees the the disbursement of funds and who settles any bills after death? do i need to be poa, an executor and a beneficiary to have total control during life and after death my mother asked me to check into this and it seems to be a lot and also my soon to be husband wants to know this as well so i don't have to be figthing with his mother/family....HELP!!!!!

The authority of a POA does, in fact, end with the death of the person for whom the POA had authority to act. To handle any matters following the death of the person , the deceased person should have appointed a person or persons to act as executor under the will.
