You should be privy to autopsy as soon as performed unless there is need in investigation for secrecy. Make an appointment with detectives and/or district attorney to get any answers you need. Also many DAs have victim's assistance counsellors who are there to help you with these tasks. You are the victims along with your daughter. I am very sorry for your loss, and am lost as well as to why you would have to pay for an autopsy in regard to a murder investigation? In any event, if the autopsy were in deed part of an ongoing investigation, then it may be prudent not to disclose the results until the murder is solved. I have found in my 38+ years of practice that sometimes the final autopsy takes up to 6 months when it is a difficult one. If your daughter had not been deceased long when she was found, then it should take less time. So if it is not finished in another month, then you should start demanding answers directly from the coroner/DA/law enforcement agency in charge of the investigation. If you get no satisfaction, the press is next.
