Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Louisiana
I filed a ch 7 bankruptcy and have been discharged in May of 2010. Someone told me that when you file taxes that the bankruptcy takes it all from you for the next 10 years. I was told by the bankruptcy lawyer that he can not take my earned income credit and he didn't. I looked for information on our state of Louisiana and found that this information is not true on bankruptcy and taxes that they are only talking about the year you file the bankruptcy. Can you tell me about this information?
