I currently have a 50% ownership of an LLC and would like to sell the half to another party. What is the correct procedure for doing so?

You just sell it, pretty much the same same as you would anything else. You will need a Sale of a Business contract for you and the buyer to sign. The buyer will then take that document to the Secretary of State, along wiith the revised Articles, and have his name substituted for yours on the incorporation documents. It is a simple process.
