Un adopt?

It is possible for a 16 year old to be unadopted from an abusive ''adoptive'' father? Shehas found and contacted her biological family. At the time it was thought that this is what was best for the child but now she wants to be adopted back by her ''real'' dad and get her name changed back. Her mom is ok with this.

It depends on circumstances. When you say "her mom is ok with this," then I assume that she is married to the abusive man. If necessary a complaint could be filed with Office of Community Services concerning the abuse and that might help. Or, you could ask to be emancipated. There are some other "or's" but more details need to be discussed.
