Car with two owners

If a guy buys a girl a car in both there names after dating one year and then they break up, can he take it from her even if he has a car already and she has two kids not for him? He just towed away her car and she has the only keys.

If both names are on the title they both own it. You will have to sue him to clarify the issues.
