Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

My ex-husband adopted my two sons in 1997. We moved out of state, got divorced and lost the original paperwork. We never had his birth certificate changed and the state of Tennessee won't let my son (who is 28) have a copy of the paperwork. How do we get a copy for him so he can get his passport renewed and get a birth certificate?

You are your spouse should be able to get a copy. If the record is sealed, you will need a court order, which should be relatively easy to get. If it was done in Tn., you will need an attorney licensed in TN.
