intra family adoption
How much does the process usually cost, for intra family adoption? My son's biological father has not paid court ordered support in over 4 years and very rarely sees him, do I need his consent or signature for my husband to adopt my son. Do I need a lawyer for this process? How do I start the process?

You file an intrafamily adoption. Either you get his permission or have the court declare his permission unnecessary, which is what you would do in your case. Cost is about $2,000. Could be a little more. You should get an attorney but that is your call.
