Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Louisiana
I had a boyfriend that lived with me for two years. After two years he found greener pastures and left for work one day and never came back. I made contact with him several times about his belonging. He said would come one weekend and pick them up but did. I put his things in my spare room for 10 months. I finally moved and his things sent to the landfill. Did I break the law? I was in Louisiana but am now in Missouri

The property still belonged to him, not you. However, 10 months is more than adequate time to hold someone else's property. If he wanted it, he should have come to get it. You had no duty to haul his things around the country with you.
I would laugh at him and make him prove each piece of property he says he left with you...and prove the value.
